Digital Dental X-Ray Attributes

X-ray / radiography technology has been around since the late 1800s. With the development of digital imaging technology of the last three decades, it was perhaps inevitable that film would give way to computerised radiography. Digital images have more flexibility and better resolution when concentrated on a specific area. They are also lower cost and digital images may be electronically manipulated when required, and resolution and contrast altered to suit requirements, making it more flexible as a diagnostic tool and serious consideration for your patient. Lower radiation levels associated with digital x-ray makes it a safer option for everyone.

CT Dent and X-Ray

There are many options available to you when referring your patient for dental x-ray. Unfortunately, neither dedicated radiology centres nor hospitals can provide the fast response that you sometimes need. Plus, their equipment is not always suitable for dental radiography as it is not up to date and is used in a variety of medical diagnostics. CT Dent is the only independent provider of x-rays to the profession. We are at the forefront of providing access to advances in digital x-ray and over 4000 dentists and dental surgeons presently use CT Dent for this important procedure.
